We had a good turnout!

We had over 250 people show up to have breakfast with us this month.  That was up by 25 or 30. We saw a lot of new faces. I guess the warmer weather brought them out. David and Kathy entertained us with their songs. We always enjoy their music.

It's May 11th and it was very cold.

I talked a friend of mine into taking a short walk at lunch. The sun was shining and it looked real warm out. It turned out to be 52 degrees and the wind was blowing. Burrrrrr!

It's Sunday morning and I'm in Church

I'm sitting in the Friendship Room at my church. I've been going to church here for around 25 years now. We moved away from this community around 15 years ago, but still come back here for church. My wife likes singing in the three choirs they have. I know I could go to a different church, but that wouldn't go over real well.

A very comfortable Friday night

I had a choice of two different parks to go to tonight.  City park in Buckner had an acoustic jam starting at 6.  Got going too late for that one.  Ended up at railroad park in Lee's Summit.  Nice cool breeze is blowing.  It just doesn't get any better than this.  The first band just finished up with a Door's song.  Waiting for the next band to go on.
